Step 6: Receive Funding Commitment Decision Letter
Service providers should carefully review Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs).
USAC issues support decisions in the form of Funding Commitment Decision Letters. These letters contain important information about the applicants' requests for support and USAC's decisions. The FCDL should be carefully reviewed for completeness and accuracy. The FCDL also provides background information about the next steps to be taken, a notice on funds availability, and an explanation of the terms found in the enclosed Funding Synopsis.
Applicants receive one or more FCDLs for each Description of Services Ordered and Certification Form (Form 471) with details of the decision on each funding request by the Funding Request Number (FRN) assigned to each funding request. The format of service provider FCDLs is somewhat different. Service providers may receive information from multiple applicants in the same FCDL. The service provider FCDL also contains more information about each individual FRN than the applicant's FCDL.
Service providers can choose to receive electronic notifications of the information in several different USAC letters, including FCDLs.
